In our state-of-the-art facilities with the most advanced technology in the world, we prepare the raw material with the highest food safety and quality.
Our processing centre is one of the most modern in the world. It has a capacity of 52,000 turkeys per day, and uses a CO2 stunning system, a very innovative and efficient system. This method achieves a slaughter where the animal’s pain is completely eliminated, as it falls completely asleep before the process begins. With this new system, the turkey is able to relax, thus obtaining better quality meat.
Our two carving rooms have been designed by our engineering department to achieve the best possible operation, optimisation of processes, products and formats.
In these rooms the carcasses are cut into several parts, optimising the workers’ butchering system in this process, as well as the traceability of the meat by means of its Integrated Process Control.
We have two areas for the preparation of packaged products with the most modern facilities, making us a benchmark for excellence and the optimisation of our processes, continuous improvement and the versatility and variability of our products. There are three variable packaged product formats depending on the specifications of the customer for whom they are intended: vacuum packs, bulk packs and self-service packs in a modified atmosphere.
The frozen food section has annexed facilities such as the freezing tunnel, the product freezing chambers, the frozen product storage chamber and the frozen product preparation and palletising room.
The crate and plastic pallet washing section is made up of a crate reception and storage bay, a container washing bay with automatic washing machines and a crate transportation system from the washing bay to the different sections. Procavi also has a dispatch area for the marketing of its fresh and frozen products.
